According to Oxford Dictionary, demonstrative pronoun is a determiner or pronoun, indicating the person or thing referred to (e.g. this, that, those).
How many demonstrative pronouns?
There are 4 (four) demonstrative pronouns; this, that, these, and those. This and these refer to nouns that are nearby in time or space. That or those refer to nouns that are further away in time or space. In addition, this and that are used to indicate one item (singular), while these and those are used to indicate more than one item (plural).
